Cannot remove add-in

Can anyone help me to uninstall the 'ReferenceChecker' add-in please?

It appears when I open Word, but is not (under that name, at least) in my list of apps. However, the file 'EditAB.dot' does appear in WordOptions>Add-ins, and this seems to be something to do with the program. (I say this because all my macros have stopped working and, when I created a new normal.dotm to try to deal with that, a number of files appeared in this 'new' file that linked 'EditAB.dot' to ReferenceChecker). I've tried to follow the uninstall path from the company's website but the uninstall file does not appear in my templates folder.

I've enabled 'show hidden files and folders' but this doesn't help. Have also searched my computer for the uninst_RC.bat file, but it cannot be found.

I have not been able to get any help from the software supplier and will be so grateful for any advice from the forum.

Thanks in advance!

Check your Word startup folder to see if that .dot file is located there.  Remove it.

What happens if you use Developer>Add-Ins>Add-Ins and check and remove the .dot template?

I did ask for help but was told that he could not provide support for an issue 'that is more Microsoft related'. Thanks for the link, will take a look!

You may have to re-install that utility, before you can then uninstall, if that uninstall file cannot be found
