OneNote Floatie missing on Android Phone

My wife and I have identical Android phones, both fully updated from the Google Play Store, we both use OneNote on our phones.  Her phone has the OneNote Floatie, but mine doesn't!  In OneNote, the menu, where I believe the option to enable the floatie should be, on mine has Sync All, Settings and Send Feedback, but no other choices.  Any idea how I get this fixed?

Phone : OnePlus One / model A0001

Android Version : 5.1.1

Security patch level : 2015-11-01

Cyangogen OS : 12.1-YOG4PAS3JL (build date 23/10/2015 - latest OTA update)

OneNote : 15.1.6330.4427

Microsoft 365 and Office | OneNote | For home | Android

As ever, a "Microsoft Support Engineer" with a useless suggestion - the thread referred to contained numerous posts about how to make the badge disappear when it was there and a user didn't want it.  Totally irrelevant to my problem, which is exactly the opposite.  I'd like to try it and it isn't there and I can't make it appear.  All this does is convince me that so-called "Microsoft Support Engineers" have no clue at all how to provide support.  Needless to say this is STILL unresolved.

Over a week on and STILL no sign of a solution.  Just completed a Microsoft survey on this post - saying I only posted here because of the appalling level of support that Microsoft gives for its products.  Do they ever listen?

OK - I'd already done all that.

In most respects OneNote on my phone works fine - I've been using it for quite a long time using my MS a/c - all logged in and syncs notebooks fine with OneNote on my home PC.

And, yes, I've already done an uninstall / reinstall, which made no difference at all.

    What next?

    Hi David,

We understand how you feel about the situation. Let me guide you to resolve the issue.

Login to OneNote using Microsoft account and check if the option persist.

If you still cannot find the Floatie option in OneNote, then uninstall & reinstall OneNote and check if it helps.

If you have any other queries related to this issue, feel free to reply and I'll be happy to further assist you.

    Thank you.
