Word issues, small page

Question

For the past few months my Word documents have all be typing at the size 7x9. How on earth do I get it back to 8.5x11 with the normal margins?! The page set up is set to US letter size but anything I try to change the size it stays stuck at Borderless Index Card 8.5x11. I have no clue how to change this but I need help because it's starting to annoy my professors.

First confirm that Office is fully updated. Version 15.20.0 is current. Also, make sure your version of OS X is fully updated & check the mfr's web site to see if there is a more recent version of the driver software for your model.

Then try this:

1. Go to Format> Document
2. Click the Page Setup button
3. Select the preferred paper size, click OK
4. Click the Default button & confirm Yes
5. Quit Word then launch to see if the setting stuck.

If not, go through the same process but select a paper size you don't want. After you Quit & Launch, do the process once again selecting the size to do want.

I have a similar issue, though mine is stuck on 8.5x11 Borderless and will not change to anything else, regardless of the route I take to alter the formatting setting. I'm a UNM English composition instructor, so I don't want to hand my students this horribly formatted document.

This did not work either :( Every time I change the settings and set them as default it doesn't change and it opens the same way when I close word. I have updated everything.

Try this:

• Quit Word
• Press Shift
• Start Word
• Let go the key after Word loads
• Check the paper size

The above is usually a temporary solution until the next Word session. If it works, let us know and we'll tell you how to remove Normal.dotm.
