Animation Does Not Play Automatically

I didn't have any problem with my powerpoint and the animations when I created it last year but when I needed it again this week it did not work as it should be. My first slide with the animation works just fine, it's the second slide and the rest of it that has the problem. When I preview the animations they work properly, it's in the slide show mode that does not. In slide show mode, as I click the action button to go to the next slide the animations should automatically play but it does not unless I click the slide that's when it moves. HELP ME!!! My deadline is tomorrow.

If a new file can do the same animation without a problem, then there there is an error or some corruption in your current presentation. Try making a new blank slide to re-create just the one that has the problem. Otherwise it would be prudent to create a new presentation and paste in your content using the Keep Source Formatting paste option.

Nothing happened. It's still the same. Originally the setting of the animation was to start "with previous" but the animation does not start automatically, I have to click the slide just so it moves. This is a nonlinear powerpoint so I added an action button with the a hyperlink to go to the previous page. I tried to make a new powerpoint just to see if the animation problem is only on that powerpoint. The animation of the new powerpoint works perfectly with the "with previous" timing but I don't want to make a new one for my old powerpoint because the content is more complex.

On the second slide, click on the Reorder icon to open the animation list. Select the first animation on the list. Change the Start: dropdown in the Ribbon to After Previous.
