Problem installing Yammer Desktop Notifier

Hi,

get the following error message when trying to install. Read some other post about removing all "*yamm*" files in %userdata%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0 but that did not work.

Hi Rod,

I solved it - the problem were some old .NET files in the %USERPROFILE%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

I removed the 2.0 folder and then the installation was OK

  • Have you tried to install the Notifier using a different machine?
  • How many users are unable to install the Desktop Notifier?

  • Have you tried to download the Desktop Notifier at this website: products.office.com/.../yammer-desktop-notifier

    The following works: remove all folder and files in %userprofile%\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0

    then run install again.
