Xamerin.Forms Bluetooth data

I'm busy writing an app that connects with Bluetooth to a device. The application just needs to test for a connection and receive a string when the device transmits. The transmitted data wont transmit continuously but the app needs to keep testing for connection. Any examples that could help?

@Ruben van Niekerk About Bluetooth, iOS and Android both provide the related sdk.

Android uses https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dotnet/api/android.bluetooth?view=xamarin-android-sdk-9

Also, there are 3rd party Bluetooth libraries that may make this easier.
