A family of Microsoft word processing software products for creating web, email, and print documents.
OK, this evening clicking on the Update Now button actually downloads and installs a update. So I guess MS found a problem to fix.
This browser is no longer supported.
Upgrade to Microsoft Edge to take advantage of the latest features, security updates, and technical support.
I keep having "Updates Available" notification pop up every time i open any Microsoft Office program including Outlook.
After clicking on "Update now" button, i got this message.
But if I close and open it again, the "Updates Available" message still pops up. I would appreciate any solutions for this. Thank you!
Haty

Since the repair fails, you may have to perform a manual uninstall and then reinstall Office. However, if the update notifications are the only (other) problem, you may just as well ignore the prompts to update.
Try an online repair of Office; see https://support.office.com/en-us/article/Repair-an-Office-application-7821d4b6-7c1d-4205-aa0e-a6b40c5bb88b.

Did you try clicking on update now, that pops up at the below the ribbon.
