ONENOTEM.exe System Error - Program can't start because .dll is missing.

A lot of employees around the office are getting this system error at startup.  We can all still use OneNote, but this is definitely an annoyance at each login.  I haven't been able to find a fix for the issue. Does anyone have experience in solving this? Thanks!

    Hi Ray,

Welcome and thank you for posting your query in Microsoft Office Community.

I will assist you with the issue you are facing related to Word and OneNote.

Try the steps below and check the result:

I would suggest you to run an online repair of Office 365 and check if the issue persists:

    1. Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click Programs and Features.
    2. Click your Microsoft Office program, and then click Change.

Select Online Repair, and then click Repair.

I hope the above steps help. Let us know if you need any help.

    Thank you.

    You may need that download

because the missing DLL is part of a new API set in Win 10.

Thanks for your response.  I should've mentioned in my post that I've already tried to do a repair and I've uninstalled and reinstalled Office2013, but the problem still persists.
