Installing AccessDatabaseEngine

I have Office 2013 ProPlus x86 installed on Windows 7 x64. I'm trying to install the AccessDatabaseEngine x86 but it continuously fails.

Things I've tried:

Admin installation

Command line installation with /passive flag

Installation of the 2013 AccessRuntime_x86_en-us

I cannot seem to find a way or reason why this will not install properly. The third party product we're using that needs this is Evermap to mail merge pdfs from Excel.

I kept trying and nothing worked. In the end I think there was a corruption in my system because some other installers also failed. I ended up factory resetting my computer and everything worked fine. I think some prior install caused a lasting issue.

When it fails, what kind of message are you receiving?

If you have office x86 version installed, then the x86 data engine should install. Is the error message about 64 bit office having been installed, or some other message?
