Using Office for Mac 2016. I tried to print a saved document that I have printed many times before, but when I print it comes out almost too small to read. Any help would be appreciated.

Another great "Duh" moment in my case: I had the same problem and I spent an hour with every possible configuration, going back to other versions of Word, etc.

In the end, the person had sent me to document in Review mode, but because there were no corrections to review (at all), I didn't click. The document had a grey zone to the right in print preview mode but I thought it was just a design feature!

Switching off Review mode solved the problem. Of course you could have a better designed MS print dialogue box warning you about this...

Hi. I spent ages on this with the MS Office customer support and in the end I found my own solution! If you go to page set up>Page attributes make sure your correct printer is selected. Mine had "any printer" and this was the problem. You need the actual printer you are using to be selected.  Check again and it should now print at the correct size.

Try running Word 2016 from a different user id on your system. Check if the same problem with printing exists under the new user id. If it doesn't that points to a corrupt user pList (preference list) file and we can tell you how to trash the old one a create a new one.

I have the same issue with Word 2016.  Document prints ok with word 2011.

Doc was originally created in Word 2011 and saved as 97-2004 version .doc

Tried saving the document in a different format without result.

No scaling set in print dialog. Tried with several printers (2 brothers, ricoh and HP).

    Any ideas?

    Thx!

Go to Print Menu and Look at the the Percentage Listed

Here is example using Print Driver for my HP Printer:

I printed this earlier today to answer another question. So the annotations and answers have nothing to do with your question notice scale, and Orientation.

When you open Print Command and go to your Print Driver the layout unless HP will be different.  So adjustments will be Different.
