OneNote is showing this error while syncing :

Whenever trying to sync a particular OneNote file we are getting the error:

OneNote cannot sync this section because it has a virus. Talk to your administrator to resolve the issue. (Error code: 0xE0000B9D)

Here OneNote is syncing to SharePoint 2013 library.

We are using MacAfee antivirus on server and it is up to date.

Well, you have to eliminate the possibility that your server considers onenote as a virus.

Try to create a new notebook and sync some content to the sharepoint. If it goes through and works fine you probably have a virus or a restricted file pasted into your old oneNote.

There are some file-restrictions on sharepoint. make sure that you dont have any *.bat '.lnk files or so
