Hi,  

My OfficeFileCache directory keeps growing.  In order to prevent the PC from having low hard disk problem, I had to delete thousands of .fsd files, each about 128kB in size.  When I delete them, the Microsoft Upload Center goes crazy with and cannot be repaired.  I usually have to re-install windows to get things right again but the same problem above comes back. 

Any solution to this?  I am currently using Office 365 2016 version but have this problem with the previous version.  Using the Delete Cache function in Upload Center doesn't clear the OpenFileCache directory, I guess it keeps the file info there for references.  Can the directory be re-located?

Rather than directly deleting the cache you should use tools like the delete function you described.

As well as the various disk cleaning techniques described below, I also use a tool called CCleaner.  I've used it for years, on all versions of Windows from XP to Win 8. I find it trustworthy.
