Using Deadlines - OneNote Class Notebooks

I teach a lab class and want to use OneNote Class Notebooks as a electronic notebook. I want my students to use it to take notes during the lab period and then, at the end of the period, I want to lock the page so that edits can't be made by the students. Does anyone know how to do this?

Thanks!

I recommend up-voting the feature on UserVoice, the OneNote development team uses the site to view the most requested and integrate them into the program.

In the ClassNotebook, have a tab that would allow students to "turn in" work (thus making their document 'read-only') - UserVoice

    Hi!

That could sort of work but each student needs to have a separate document. That's why I wanted to use the OneNote Class Notebooks through OneDrive (which is somewhat different from OneNote). It creates individual folders for each student. I think it shows time/date stamps for each edit so that may be how I work around it.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

    Nice to meet you!

Maybe you can try sharing the OneNote online with your students and let them edit on the notebook. You can click hereto create OneNote online for free.

Once you want to stop them from editing, you may just save a copy of the current version to your PC. Thus, you can have a version of OneNote till the time you save it. It does not stop them from editing directly. However, it can help you keep a record on the all notes done by students in a specific time of period. Another advantage is that, you can still see their updates on OneNote online if they really have something to share after time is over. Thus, you won't miss any information from your students and also make sure you have a record of all notes in a given time limit.

    Thank You!
