Please help - sway question

I am completely stuck and I cant find an answer on the web.  I want to paste a picture into Sway but I can't see how to do it.  I saw a post from Microsoft claiming that feature was added.  I have a PowerPoint that has many imbedded pictures and I want to paste pictures from this presentation into Sway but I see no way to do it.

I tried importing the presentation into Sway, but that was a complete disaster.

This is the most simple, basic function.  Pasting an image from the clipboard into a picture in Sway.

    Hi Jason,

Sorry it's been so long. I tried to update Windows and I still have this issue, however, I am using a work PC and that particular update may not have been released to me yet.

    Thanks,

    Pete

If you insert a text card into Sway, you should be able to select and paste a bunch of content into it from outside of Sway.  I expect that there is either a bug here in Sway that we need to track down or the piece of content isn't getting copied for some reason.  Can you get paste of text or paste of a picture from somewhere else to work?  If you try to copy your image from PowerPoint, can you paste it elsewhere?

I have tried everything and paste simple does not work.  If I right click on the picture paste is greyed out.  If I click on the picture and hit Control V, nothing happens.  I clicked on the text/title box.   I have tried this with multiple browsers on multiple computers with no luck.

    Nothing works

    Hi William,

If you're still not getting paste to succeed, trying clicking into a text/title box first on the Storyline when you open a Sway for editing and then pressing Ctrl+v to paste.

    Hello William,

Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Office Community.

    1. You can copy (Ctrl +C) images from PowerPoint or any other applications and paste it (Ctrl +V) into Sway presentation.
    2. Regarding the issue with importing the PowerPoint presentation, I'd suggest you try with different PowerPoint presentations or from different computer and check if it fetches the same result.

Kindly reply with necessary information and I’ll be happy to help you further.

    Thank you.
