For some reason i have a list of dates in my pivot table that I want on a slicer, and it wont let me sort by oldest to newest... how do I do this? The dates are sparatic on the slicer.

Looks like the Date column in the Base data worksheet does not carry actual dates. You may check that by using the ISNUMBER() function on the Date column. Share the workbook for more specific help.
Right click on the slicer and change settings
