Word 2016 auto correct--cannot save changes

When I add a change to the autocorrect file in Word 2016 (part of Office 365), I get this error message:

"Your AutoCorrect file, C: Users/me/AppData/Roaming/Microsoft/Office/MSO1033.acl, could not be saved. The file may be read-only, or you may not have permission to modify the file."

The autocorrect change will work for the rest of that session, but it will not save and be available in subsequent sessions, when I re-start Word.

I right-clicked this file (MSO1033.acl) in File Explorer, and "read-only" is NOT checked and under permissions under security, everyone seem to have full permission.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks!

JPN
