    Hi satya_1,

To avoid misunderstanding, may I collect some information to analyze the issue?

      1. First, where do you see the error message “Cannot start services MSOnlineSyncScheduler on computer”? Could you provide an entire screenshot?
    • You can click Use rich formatting in the forum, and then click the insert image button to upload the screenshot.
      1. What is your DirSync tool version?
      1. About “i cannt start service windows Azur active directory sync services”, do you mean services.msc? If so, is there any error here? Related screenshot is appreciated.
      1. After you re-start the server, do you use the same admin credential that you use to configure DirSync before re-start?
      1. Is there any Event log when this issue occur? This will help us analyze the issue.
      • A. Open Event Viewer.
      • B. Expand Windows Logs, and then expand Application.
      • C. In the Actions pane, click Filter Current Log.
      • D. In the Event sources box, click to select the Directory Synchronization check box.
      • E. Click OK.

With the detailed information, we will do further analysis.

    Thanks,

    Neo

    Hi,

The issue might occurs if GPO contains restrictions of who can logon as a service and is only applied at reboot. So initially after the install it runs just fine until the GPO is applied, Please follow the below steps to resolve this:

    1. Get the Username that is being used to login to the service listed in Services.msc under Windows Azure Active Directory Sync Service
    2. Add that user to the local "Administrators" user group
    3. Open the Default domain GPO and navigate to Computer Configuration > Policies > Windows Settings > Security Settings > Local Policies > User Rights Assignment
    4. Open "Log on as a service" and add the computer's local "Administrators" user group
    5. Go back to the DirSync Server and perform the "gpupdate /force"
    6. Then perform "Start-onlineCoexistanceSync" in the DirSyncPowershell

Feel free to post back for any questions..!

If my answer was helpful, please click on "Yes" and if it solved your problem, please click on "Yes"
