I just installed Gadwin Screen Recorder 64 bit  onto my destop --  a 64 bit machine running Office 10 pro and windows 10.  in that process, I received 2 messages

USER "SYSTEM" has previously initiated an instsall for product "Microsoft Officed Office 64 bit components 2010"  That user will need to run that install again before they can use that product. your current install will nor continue

AND

An installation for "Microsoft Office Office 64-bit Components 2010" is currently suspended.  you must undo the changes made by that installation to continue.  Do you want to undo those changes?   I responded YES.

My search for  something called  "Microsoft Office Office 64-bit COmponents 2010",  did not produce a clear picture of what to download and install.  Can someone help me on this?

Hello,

As this error message are generated while installing Gadwin Screen recorder software it seems the issue is due to software compatibility. You may get in contact with Gadwin support for better suggestion on this issue.

Hope this information is helpful. Please feel free to reply in case you face any other issues with Office in future.

Thank you.

This is a common response from lazy support staff -

This issue is also being replicated on my end and I do not have Gadwin Screen Recorder.

The fault is expereienced when ever I try to install or update any application - and I believe had the the aforementioned fob off not occurred you would find that user LDUAC would also be receiving the error when trying to install or update other applications on his/her system.

I find that I have to kill all of the current running Windows Update and Windows Installer processes via task manager before being able to continue with any software update or install.

Checking HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer for an InProgress folder is fruitless as there is none so previously known fixes for the fault do not work

help within excel version says 14.0.7166.5000 32 bit. 2010 office professional plus . This machine is a 64 bit PC of windows10 PRO which I converted to windows 10 -- from windows 7 -- but i do not recall " explicitly replacing" office 32 with Office 64.

but why would an install of a 64 bit screen recorder complain about Office in the way it did?

Do you have Office 2010 64bit installed or 32bit?

    What did Gadwin support say?
