How to make the "Insert/Edit Hyperlink" window bigger?

Hi!

I'm using word 2016.

I have a document with many headings. Whenever I need to insert a hyperlink to "Place in This Document", I have to scroll the heading list up and down, line by line to find the heading I need. The list is so long, and:

  • There's no way to resize the window (make it bigger!)
  • Can't "show heading level" to restrict the headings I want to show
  • No way to "find heading"

Anyone have a long document? Any workaround?

Please help!

Many many thanks!

Please do follow Stefan's suggestion to make a suggestion at UserVoice (I can't, I've maxed out 3 userid's already ... ).  Post the link back here so we can add comments in support.

Unfortunately MS is willing to waste time replacing the excelent menu with the phat ribbon UI, but not fix this problem.

Almost all of the Office dialog boxes need to be updated. Some of them were created back when screen resolution was 640x480, when they almost filled the entire screen.  Now when secreen res is commonly 4x that, 1080, and even up to 16x times that, 4K, the original dialogs need to be redesigned to take advantage of the extra screen space.  The Minimum would be for the Options dialog would include an option to set display/dialog size limit. Ideally Office or the dialogs would recognize the display screen resolution and size the dialog accordingly.

At the very least every dialog, like the one you mention, should be made completely resizable so that we can see more content.

    Other favorites of mine include:

    • The Find/Replace dialog. I hate having to ALWAYS click the "More" button. And if the dialog was sized larger, the options on the Format and Special drop down buttons could be moved up into the body of the dialog.
    • All of the Options dialog should be redesigned to make more intelligent use of space.  The worst current design is the "Trust Center" option.  It is idiotic to have to then click on the "trust center ... button" to actually see all of the trust options.  Come one, really?
    • The next worst Option is the "Advanced" one. It is just a grab bag of a bunch of new options as they were added. Even worse, they repeat almost half of the the existing options. In other words there are existing option categories that should be enhanced to include  additional options moved from the "advanced" option dialog because they are part of the same category.

The Hyperlink dialog box can't be resized, I'm afraid. You can post a suggestion for Microsoft at http://word.uservoice.com.
