Split from this thread.

Hello,

I have got the same issue and I see my bullets disappearing despite the style being same and no changes (from my end) that would be shown in the "Tracked Changes"

I tried opening File > Options > Customize Ribbons >Templates & Add-Ins on the RHS of the screen that I see.

When I click on these two tabs , I do not see the dialog box opening. Am I missing something?

Regards,

Pooja

When Tracked Changes are activated, bullets and numbering formats may not display properly. This is a well-known limitation in Word.

Perhaps you could share an example document that illustrates the specific problem you are seeing.

    Doug,

Thanks a lot, I was able to see the 'Developer' tab and I saw that "Auto-update' thing has not been selected in the document in question.

I even tried the Home Tab > Multi-level-list > Define a New...but that too wasn't working for me.

Finally I went to the first place where the bullet had disappered, inserted a bullet and set the bullet indent to be the same as that in the 'document before the bullets disappeared and then clicked on "Accept Format Changes". This change was then reflected on all places wherein 'font style' and 'alignment' were same, but the bullets had vanished.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge, sometimes such 'shocks' are a good way to learn a thing or two :)

The mention of File > Options > Customize Ribbons was for the purpose of causing the Developer tab to appear on the ribbon if you do not see it there.

The Templates and Add-ins dialog is accessed by clicking on the Document Template button in the Templates section of that tab of the ribbon.
