Restore file version without versioning

Hello,

I'm sure I know the answer to this question but I thought I'd check anyway. We had a user accidentally overwrite data in a list. Is there any way to restore a previous version of a list or document even though versioning is not enabled for the list or document library?

thanks

Hi Aberdamy,

You cannot recover an item in a list without enabling versioning. If you identified that this is a potential data loss to your user, your next step is to Contact Office 365 for business support. Our assisted support engineer will work with you to evaluate the situation and assess the best option available to recover the desired content.

The reason for moving this to assisted support is to avoid any delay in recovering your data.

Regards,

Allan
