Alpha versus Numeric Versioning

Is it possible to change the versioning of documents from default numeric versioning to alpha versioning in SharePoint?  I have created a quality system utilizing Alpha and in an attempt to keep the approved documentation unchanged when loading into SharePoint, would like to see if it is possible to change the versioning history to Alpha from Numeric.

Hi Adam,

It is not feasible to change the version of documents from default numeric to alpha in SharePoint online. Version numbers in SharePoint online are automatically added each time you create a new version. In a list or library that has major versioning enabled, the versions have whole numbers.
