Excel 2016 3D Maps - Refresh Bing Base Map

Hi,

I am currently working with Excel 3D Maps, which is powered by Bing, and am wondering if there is a way to refresh the base Bing map that is used when mapping? I had a few postal codes that were not mapping correctly in the Excel 3D Maps, so I went on the Bing website to report these locations as incorrect. These locations were fixed on the Bing Maps website but have not been updated in my Excel map. Is there a way to make my Excel 3D map, powered by Bing, reflect the most current online Bing map?

Thanks!

Katie

Hello Katie,

If you click on Insert > 3D Map when the globe appear click on Refresh Data command under Layer group and check if it helps.

If issue still persists, since Office use Internet Explorer to use data on web, reset Internet Explorer's setting following the steps mentioned in the following article then try to install Office and verify the result.

http://support.microsoft.com/kb/923737 **Disclaimer:**The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might reset security settings or privacy settings that you added to the list of Trusted Sites. The Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature might also reset parental control settings. We recommend that you note these sites before you use the Reset Internet Explorer Settings feature.

I hope the above information helps. Try the suggestions and let me know the results at your earliest convenience.

Thank you.

I did follow the troubleshooting steps in this thread without any luck.  What else can I try?

I'm using Windows 10, IE 11, Office 2016, and did not make any changes before this happened.

I'm having the same problem, with zip codes plotting several miles west of where they should be despite being correct in Bing.  Resetting Internet Explorer doesn't fix the problem.  Anything else to try?
