Save word document with version comment

I want to save my word documents directly to my sharepoint site. In sharepoint i have version history where there apparently can be added a comment to each saved version of the documents.

I know that i can upload the file from a local directory on my computer to sharepoint and there add a comment to the new version, but how is it possible to add these comments when saving from word or any other office product?

Best regards

Hi Yoga,

Thanks for you fast response, that was exactly what i wanted to do.

In the meantime I have found out that if I check out the document, I can then when I check it in again add a comment.

Thanks for you help.

Best

Mads

Hi Mads,

Would you like to save a document in Word to SharePoint library directly with adding a version comment? If so, it is not feasible to achieve it.

Given this situation, we welcome and encourage you to share your ideas through Word User Voice. Your providing feedback is the best way to perfect our products and services.

We appreciate your understanding.

Regards,

Yoga
