Mac Word add-in task-pane width

I tried simple add-in that just displays the Fabric Dropdown.

On Windows Word 2016 (build 16.0.6965.2058), I can drag and increase the task-pane width to almost 50% of the total screen width.

It shows the proper Dropdown menu.

On Mac Word 2016 (build 15.23.2), I can drag and increase the task-pane width to only around 33% of the total screen width.

Because of this the Fabric Dropdown starts at the top-right corner of the task-pane.

Any work around to show proper dropdown menu on Mac ?

Sorry, this appears to be maximum width appears to be hard-coded into Office 2016 for Mac. Please report this deficiency by clicking on the small smiling-face icon that appears at the right end of the program windows menu, above the Ribbon. Choose Tell Us What Can Be Better, describe the problem and include a screen shot. Submitting sends the report to the Mac programming team.

You can also make a suggestion at the Word for Mac User Voice forum. Users can vote on your suggestion and Microsoft uses the results to decide which features to add.
