ms access 2013: Error running saved import

I am importing a file in .xlsx format to the  MS access 2013 database. Saved import works fine during the day, but on the next day it fails with the error message : "<table_name>_YYYYMMDD$ is not a valid name. Make sure that it does not include invalid characters and punctuations and that is not too long". My table name (same as an Import name) does not contain reserved words. The added suffix "_YYYYMMDD$ " is not a part of it, the only thing I noticed  that YYYYMMDD is a date of the previous run

    Aileen,

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I am using RunSavedImportExport action. Recently, input file was modified from .xls to .xlxs format and that when the problem started. I can think of a workaround, but to introduce it in the established process is a nuisance. I was hoping there is a way to stop wizard from adding suffix "_YYYYMMDD$ ".

    Hi,

Are you using the RunSavedImportExport action to run a saved import? Have you tried using the TransferSpreadsheet action instead?

For more information about the TransferSpreadsheet macro action, you may check this link.

    Regards.
