I am switching to a laptop with a 256 K solid state drive, which is smaller than my current files.  How do I use One Drive as my primary storage?

Hi Pastorbarreca,

It is not feasible to use OneDrive as primary storage. Primary storage is the main storage where the operating system resides, as well as the main area in a computer in which data is stored for quick access by the computer’s processor. All of the data you actively use is stored in the primary storage: operating system, applications, application data etc.

OneDrive is used to store, share, and sync your work or personal files, you can use OneDrive for Business sync client to sync files to your local computer. Please refer to Set up your computer to sync your OneDrive for Business files in Office 365.

The synced folder from OneDrive is resides on the primary storage as well, thus it’s not feasible to set OneDrive as primary storage.

Regards,

Joann
