AttributeValueMustBeUnique error

I'm getting this error on 5 users when syncing.

Unable to update this object because the following attributes associated with this object have values that may already be associated with another object in your local directory services: [UserPrincipalName: ******@domain.com],  Correct or remove the duplicate values in your local directory.

I went to KB2647098 and I ran the IdFix tool and it found no errors.  I did a search in AD for the user and that user is the only one listed with that User Principal Name.  The account for each person exists in both AD and O365.

Hi ParrotHead1972,

I suggest you try to use the hard matching to match on-premises user accounts to Office 365 user accounts for directory synchronization.

If the issue still occurs, please delete the local user and re-sync them again.

Best Regards,

Toby
