I am not entirely sure what happened. I have an Xamarin app, with a LaunchScreen.storyboard which is suppose to show a splash screen on IOS while the app is launching. This was working, but now its not. I deleted the image from resources and add it back then it worked a couple of times then stopped working again. I tried deleting and adding it again still did not work. I am not sure what heck is going or how to fix this issue. Any help would be much appreciated.

@Seth Isaacks I followed the document: Launch Screens for Xamarin.iOS Apps, and the launch screen works normally. Try to create a new storyboard and new Image Set for test. Make sure you have selected the right Launch Screen in info.plist. Then delete the bin and obj folder under project folder, then clean and rebuild the project. Besides, is there any key step to reproduce the issue you could provided?
Ive done this multiple times...the launch screen does not work. I am using a windows box...so I have to create the storyboard on mac, transfer it over to the windows box and add it to my solution. It was working fine....but now that IOS has updated and upgraded.....I cant get it to work.
I read something about changing the image size in the story board.....I tried that and it started working. Then I went back to the Android project to test some stuff. Came back to the IOS and the image stopped working again. Absolutely frustrating
Also the link you provided, visual studio has deprecated the ability to do the story board....at least from what I am seeing and reading. If I am missing something please let me know because this is absolutely frustrating
The iOS Designer was deprecated in Visual Studio 2019 version 16.8 and Visual Studio 2019 for Mac version 8.8, and removed in Visual Studio 2019 version 16.9 and Visual Studio for Mac version 8.9. The recommended way to build iOS user interfaces is directly on a Mac running Xcode. For more information, see Designing user interfaces with Xcode.
@Seth Isaacks Yes, so you need to use Visual Studio for Mac. In VS for Mac, you can right click the storyboard and Open with "Xcode Interface Builder".
I am like a fish out of water trying to use MAC. Again I dont understand why all the sudden its not working.
I guess I will try to create another one and try again....though I shouldnt have too
IIs there a step by step explanation how how to do this on MAC. Then somehow I have to save the file and transfer it over to my windows box. such a pain. apple seems to make everything exceptionally difficult :(
Well I rebuilt the storyboard on MAC. Transferred the file over. Cleaned the app. Deleted BIN and OBJ files. Built the app. Ran the app and still the default Xamarin ICON showed up. I recalled reading online that if the image is too large this may happen. I reduced the size of the image in the storyboard and then it worked.....which is what I had done the previous time. One big difference I noted is the that new storyboard was referencing LaunchImages versus the actual image. Anyway....its working for now...but I venture to guess the next time I switch back to IOS build and run..there will be issues again.
So I did all that....still didnt work. So then I changed the image size in the storyboard...then it started working.
I switched to Android and switched back...and its stopped working again.
I have no idea what is wrong with this thing but IOS seems to always be a pain.
I would truly appreciate help or a recommendation to contact an Xamarin IOS specialist
@Kyle Wang its been MONTHS and I am still having this issue and so are MANY other people is the threads I am reading. Are there any updates to this? To refresh your memory I am operating on a Microsoft Box, I have a Xamarin IOS App. I am using LaunchScreen.StoryBoard and I have LaunchImages in the Assets folder. This WAS working FINE. Then about June of last year it stopped working. I have been dealing with this for months and have yet to find a solution that actually works.
@Kyle Wang can you ask other people in you org if they have ran across this issue....maybe like @Leon Lu (Shanghai Wicresoft Co,.Ltd.) or more people. This has been so frustrating.

its an apple behavior change but I have yet to find anyone that can tell me how to fix this
