Edit Hyperlink dialog box

In the "Recently used email addresses" box, there is text that I cannot delete and no matter what email address I put in the "Email address" box, the text I am trying to hyperlink is getting linked to the address in the "Recently used" box instead. What's up with that?

Here is a screen shot of dialog box. Version is 15.32 (170309). When I put a new email in the "Email addess:" box -- it defaults to link the text to the email in the "Recently used email..." box. I can edit it after to correct it -- but it seems strange that I have to do that.

    Hi Cath_umass,

To better understand your situation, I’d like to collect the following information:

    • The detailed steps about how you edit the hyperlink. Some screenshots would be helpful.
    • The detailed version of your Office client, like 15.32 (170309).

    Thanks,

    Gary

Unfortunately, there is no provision for deleting items in the list. I've tried removing the .plist file as well as replacing the Normal template, but neither clears the entries. I honestly don't know where else they might be stored. If I come up with anything I'll post my findings here.

As for the other behavior, I haven't been able to reproduce it, nor have I seen any similar reports. Is your installation of Office 2016 fully updated? It should be at version 15.31 or later. Which version of macOS are you using?

    Thank you for reply.

    Yes, using v 15.32.

    OSX El Capitan 10.11.6

Strange problem. I can successfully edit it after it is hyperlinked incorreclty to the "Recently used" email address -- but it doesn't seem like this should be happening.
