Planner task name not updating when changed

The new name appears in the task, and it shows up in the bucket view for the task, but when Planner sends an email out when the task is updated or receives a comment, the task has the original name. Until I eventually close this task, I'm going to continue to see alerts about the wrong task name. This creates mass confusion in a multi-task environment with multiple people commenting and updating tasks.

Hi Garrett,

We have received updates from the escalation team. Therefore, we'd like to summarize below to benefit other community members who have the same concern about this issue:

Description:

The subject of the notification mail hasn’t been changed after updating the task title in Microsoft Planner.

Assessment:

Currently, it is a by-design behavior. The product team will consider to change this behavior in the future release, but there is no ETA for this.

Regards,

Ryan
