Email merge: Cannot specify range

Hi

I am trying to send merged emails based on a list in Excel spreadsheet.

The problem is that I can send only one email each time.

The field where the range is introduced accepts only a single number, not a range like 6-90.

When I write the range it defaults back to 1 or the first digit I write.

I have updated Office 2016 (Spanish version) to the latest version right now (15.29).

OS is Yosemite (10.10.5)

Any idea what might be the problem?

Best regards - Klaus

    There are some exceptions:

    17 and 98: Just 17 sent

    26 and 98: Just 26 sent

    seems a regular sequence

    Thank yo, Neha

    Strange results:

    6 and 98: 6 and 7 sent

    8 and 98: 8 sent

    9 and 98. 9 and 10 sent

    11 and 98: 11 and 12 sent

    13 and 98: 13 and 14 sent

    15 and 98: 15 and 16 sent

    Allways to go out.

To "Para" Field I suppose is designed to introduce a specific email address, but I am not sure about that

    Best regards

    Klaus

Enter the 6 into the left control and the 99 into the right

    Thank you, Neha.

I can send the emails individually via Outlook. I just cannot send more then one at a time, as the field for the range seems to accept only integers.

    I describe the setup:

    1. selected typ of merge:

    1. Selected Excel sheet with the emails and the rest of the fields: 2nd option, existing list

    1. introduced the fields into the document

It works fine. I can preview and send correct individual emails.

    1. I selected outlook as default email program in Preferences of Apple Mail
    2. Selected the account I want to use as default account in Outlook
    3. There is the problem: the field for the range accepts only integers. When i write, for example, 6-99 it defaults to 1.
    4. I can send the email through Outlook, but just one by one (last option, About and field with email address are selected after this step)

Maybe it is just a bug of the spanish version.

    Best regards

    Klaus

    Hi Klaus,

Please make sure you are following the correct steps to mail merge as mentioned in this article. Then try to specify the custom range.

If the issue still occurs, please provide the detailed steps which you take and some related screenshots.

    Thanks,

    Neha
