Office365 ActiveSync Timeout values

Hi,

is there any documentation available, what kind of values Office365 is using regarding timeouts / Max Sizes / Token size / etc?

I refer to the WebConfig files on our CAS servers, where we can change these settings (if needed).

I specifically need informations about:

  • MaxSizeOfMailboxLog

- MaxRetrievedItems

- MaxDocumentDataSize

- MinHeartbeatInterval

- MaxHeartbeatInterval

Are these values -at the end of the day- follows Exchange 2013 numbers?

Thank you

    Hi Robert,

as suggested, i posted my question in the other forum. Nobody replied of course, as the forum is more idea-driven, not solution minded.

Why is there no documentation about this available?

We think it is very important to know, when a request towards O365 is getting cutted server sided (MaxHeartBeatInterval), as we also need to adjust our firewalls etc. It is also important for troubleshooting.

    Imagine the following scenario:

A user, who is on O365, using an iPhone, is syncing his mailbox via ActiveSync. At some point, he is reporting, that he isn't receiving new messages. In Outlook or OWA, everything is working fine. By troubleshooting on Firewall level, we see that the request is processed, but the answer request from O365 is not received. So, the request get lost on O365. As we dont know any values server sided on O365, we are not able to troubleshoot though.

    Regards, Florian
