Office Pro Plus 2016 install

Every time I try to run the setup file I get "O16Setup.EXE has stopped working". I get no solutions from the internet. I have tried to run this from several different places. I don't know what to do.... All other Office trial versions plus the embedded OneNote have been removed from the new computer. I'm installing it on a brand new Dell, Inspiron 15, 5000 series, 64 bit OS with 6 GB RAM running Windows 10.

Hi Jack,

Let us isolate your issue.

  1. Have you installed Office before? with the same installer?
  2. Do you have an older version before you installed Office 2016?

In your computer, if you have installed it before, you have to remove it again by using our Uninstaller tool that will completely erase Office in your computer. You can download the tool by referring to the link below:

Uninstall Office 2016, Office 2013, or Office 365 from a PC

Let us know what happens.

    You have downloaded/saved before running the install, and not tried to download/run?

    And if you clean boot the PC, does that help?
