I used the DAYS() function to calculate the number of days between two dates which works fine on my computer. I sent the workbook to a colleague and he gets the #NAME error. Why would the function not work on his computer?

As far as I know, DAYS() function can be use from Excel 2013 to upper version 2016. Maybe this should be the reason. Your colleague maybe using Excel 2007 or 2010.

DAYS was introduced in Excel 2013. When the workbook is opened in Excel 2010 or an older version, you'll see #NAME.

Is the Excel version on that computer different? The DAYS function is available in Excel 2013 and 2016.
