Access 2016 WebBrowser control missing?

Anonymous

I'm trying to insert a WebBrowser control onto an Access 2016 form but can't find the control in the list. There's the ActiveX Microsoft Web Browser control, but no web browser control in the main list. Has it been removed?

Using MS Access 2016 16.0.7329.1045 32-bit on Win 10.

Thank you.

This is probably a limitation of the file format itself and doubtful the is anything you can do besides upgrading the the mdb to an accdb.

I had the same problem, the WebBrowser control was missing. I realised it was because I was trying to add it to a Continuous Form. The WebBrowser control is available on a Single Form. Hope this helps.

    Hi Daniel,

Here is an article about convert a database to the .accdb file format for your reference. Please try this and then check if you can see the Webbrowser control.

    Regards,

    Linda

I would like to confirm the following information to clarify your situation:

    1. A screenshot regarding "There's the ActiveX Microsoft Web Browser control, but no web browser control in the main list" .
    2. A screenshot of the Office version you are using. The version you provided above is MSO version. To check the Office version, open Access, click File > Office Account > under Product informaton.

    1. The detailed steps you did when you encounter this issue.

    Regards,

    Linda
