Next, check here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\PowerPoint\AddIns

and here:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\16.0\PowerPoint\AddIns

Add-ins installed under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE are available to all users of the computer but the add-in doesn't appear in PowerPoint's add-ins dialog box.

Also look under 15.0, 14.0 and so on under both of those areas, in addition to 16.0  If an add-in is installed under the key for an earlier version, later versions will load it.  Or try to ...

    Thanks for the response.

I already tried the first method. And Chart.ppa did not appear.

For the second method, there is no program for me to uninstall .

Lastly, I tried the regedit method. I did not see the plugin (though I may not have looked at the right location)

It seems likely that at some previous time, the CHART.PPA add-in was installed.  This kind of thing isn't unusual when you update Office rather than uninstalling the old version and installing the new version.

    In any case, try this:

    Click FILE

    Click OPTIONS

    Click ADD-INS

Next to MANAGE, choose POWERPOINT ADD-INS

    Click GO

In the dialog box that appears, look for CHART.PPA; select it, then click REMOVE and finally click OK.

If CHART.PPA doesn't appear on the list of add-ins, it might be installed in a different part of the registry than usual.  In that case, try the easy way first:

    Quit PowerPoint

    Start Control Panel

    Click PROGRAMS & FEATURES

Look for any entry on the Programs list that might have to do with charting in PowerPoint.  If you find something likely, click it, then choose REMOVE.

If you don't find anything likely there and don't mind a bit of registry editing, get back with us and we'll proceed from there.
