Change text in object inserted

In PowerPoint 2016 for Mac, I'm inserting an object in a slide (it's an Excel file), and I'm checking the option "Show as icon".

The icon is shown with the text "Microsoft Excel spreadsheet" (i'm translating the text, in English could be different). I need to change that text, but I can't find a way to change it.

In older Windows version I use at work, when I check the "Show as Icon" I have the option to change both the icon and the text. Anyone know how can I do it in PowerPoint 2016 for Mac?

Thank you in advance

The text seems to be hard-coded to display the object type and doesn't appear to be editable. You can send feedback to Microsoft in 2 ways:

  1. Click on the small smiling face icon in the upper-right corner of the program window, choose Tell Us What Can Be Better and describe the problem, including the fact that you can edit this text in the Windows version.
  2. Post a suggestion on the PowerPoint for Mac User Voice Forum, where other users can vote on it.
