Hi, I am using Office 365 and I have some excel macro which will connect to MS Access database using ADODB connection. It's working fine when I am running from any PC or TP except Mac system. When I am running from Mac system, it is giving an error. When I gone though the error I noticed there is no option to enable reference under Tool -> References. Is there any possibilities to connect MS Access database through Excel VBA in Mac system? Is there any Special MS Access package available for Mac.?

What is the error you receive?

Provide us the screen shot to check about it.

    Hi Joseph,

Thanks for getting back to me.

    1. I am getting below error while opening the Macro file.

    1. So I removed the VBA Project Password and tried to open it. I am getting below error.

    1. I have written the below code that needs to run while opening the workbook.

    1. I could not see the Reference to enable ADODB connection. Refer below screen.

Hope above screenshots will help you to understand my issue.

In the Mac system user didn't install MS Access which is really not required.

Please advice how to connect the MS Access DB through Excel VBA?

    Begards, Lokesh

I ran into this myself a week or two ago. Look in add-ins or extensions. For something called AdobeConnection. If you see it shut down Excel and or any and all Office apps. Now type in AdobeConnection or whatever the name is, and locate it in the "group Containers" > Office Directory and look for that extension.

Remove it to trash, then try Excel.
