Surface - OneNote 2016 - Hide Scrollbars

Why is there no option to disable/hide the vertical and/or horizontal scroll bars?

There is a great, informative post on how you can do this in Word and Excel, but yet this option has not been implemented since 2012 when it was brought up. See discussion below.

This is greatly frustrating while using a Microsoft program on a Microsoft hardware. Even though palm detection should catch this, as soon as the palm grazes a scrollbar, it moves the page under my pen.

Simply hiding the horizontal and vertical bars with an option will solve this problem on the surface, as scrolling is done with touch, not grabbing the scrollbar.
