Making .onmicrosoft.com Domain available?

Hello Team,

I need help on knowing how long it takes for a .onmicrosoft.com tenant domain will be available.

I was previously using a Trial back on 2015.

My trial expired on 3/24/2015, and since then I have not use the tenant.

Now that I am ready to use O365 productively, I would like to use that Tenant domain, but its giving me an error stating its not available.

Domain: -domain has been removed for privacy -

I have contacted support who tells me, It does not appear in their system, but yet I am unable to use it.

Can any one help me know the process or time it will take to make this domain available?

Hi Johne,

Based on your description, the Office 365 account which associated with the domain you provided above does not appear in Office 365. That means the domain has been released from the system. Please try creating another Office 365 accountassociated with the domain again.

If you still can not proceed, please share more detailed information with us.

1. Regrading "yet I am unable to use it", please share a screenshot on which step you got stuck.
2. Share the "error stating" with us.

The domain I am trying to use is not available for a new account but it is not used by anyone else. 

It was checked by Microsoft and it shows as not being used.
