Hide zero values in sum fields

How do I hide/suppress zero values in sum fields so that nothing is displayed unless it is greater than zero?  I recall in a previous version of Excel it could be done by a global worksheet setting but do not see it now in Office 2016.  Am looking for an approach that will work in Office 2016 for Windows and, preferably, also in Excel for Mac.
