    Hi Tzvetan,

    Is there any update?

    Thanks,

    Sky Pei

    Dear all

I found a workaround for my problem.

I noticed that if I right click on the version date (Version history window) and choose 'Save target as', the saved document is good and I can open it from my local saved copy.

Which is actually what I needed - to get the old version of a document

In my case clicking directly on the version still is not possible - I get the error as I described before 'Sorry...'

But I can survive with Save Target as...

Thank you very much for your help.

    Hi Tzvetan,

To troubleshoot this issue, please try the following suggestion and confirm us with the outcome:

    1. Please check whether you are able to open the older version in a different document library.
    2. In IE, empty the Temporary Internet Files folder when browser is closed. You can check this article for steps.

If the issue persists, please provide us with the information below:

    1. If possible, check with your colleagues if they are facing this issue.
    2. Are you facing this issue with only 1 document?
    3. A screenshot of the error?
    4. At which point are you getting the error, when you right click on a document> version history or when you are trying to download/restore the version?

    Thanks,

    Neha

    Hi Neha

Thanks for the reply. My answers:

    1. I cannot open open older version in a differend document library. I tested it also in the root site, and the result is the same / the error message
    2. Have emtied the IE temp folder - no difference. The behaviour is the same using Chrome browser

    The other clarifications:

    1. My collegues get the same error
    2. Facing the issue with (many/all) documents
    3. Screenshot follow- clicking on the date link, I get the error. Here is the link to a movie with my action

    http://screencast.com/t/Z99sIrM7TeFz

    1. When I click on the version's date, I get the error.

If I click on the arrow Next to the Version's date, there are 3 options:

    • View - it shows a page with 'Version summary' header, not the document content
    • Restore. It seems restore the version works
    • Delete. it Works - deletes the particular version

It seems that if I want to see the old version, I have to restore it, save as another name, and after that restore the previous version, to get back to my last version

Am I doing something wrong? I want to see/open an older version only

    Regards
