Text Highlighting Option Missing: Powerpoint 2016

Hi,

I just upgraded to Powerpoint 2016 and got excited about the Text Highlighter option (not the plain highlighter feature). However, I do not have the option. It is not listed as a command.

I am running:

Parallels 10 (10.4.0)

Windows 7

64-bit OS

Thanks,

IIRC Text Highlighter came with 16.0.7030.1008

I presume you have 16.0.6740.2048.

Maybe you are on deferred updates or just need to manually update? Often Pro versions update later than home versions.

If you are on the deferred Channel (it is the default for Pro Plus) have a read here.

I have the Office 365 subscription version here.

It was at 16.0.6965.2058 and no text highlighting feature.

I went to File | Account | Update Options and clicked Update Now.

A few minutes later, I have 16.0.7070.2026 and there's a text highlighting tool.

So I'd try the same at your end.  If it finds nothing to update, keep trying every couple of days; as John says, the Pro version may be on a later update release cycle than the home user versions.

Which *exact* version of PPT do you have, though?  Specifically, is it subscription (you pay a monthly fee to use it) or permanent (one-time purchase)?
