Stefan,
first, my employer does not provide third party software... No, this is in Word 2013, and Word 2016 and Word 2007...
Second, I could always copy the bibliograpy preview in word 2007, even at work and at home.
Third, I can copy the bibliography preview in word 2016 enterprise at work!!! IT IS NOT a third party program like endnotes... I do know the difference.
However, why should word 2016 at work all me this feature and it is not available in my home copy of word 2016???
Maybe the 'feature' was a bug in the program; however, it is highly useful to be able to copy parts of the bibliography preview for footnotes, which require a different formatting than the bibliography in all academic and journal styles that I know of...!
Alternatively, you can tell me how word will format footnote citations when I need them; i.e., when all that is required is the footnote entry instead of the formal bibliography. Some papers do not want bibliography, instead they want the information in
footnotes or endnotes. So how can i use the reference manager to build footnotes and endnotes?
When will Word have footnote tools in the reference manager??? So one does not have to build a bibliography to get the data for footnotes that are not formatted correctly and then require the author to cut and paste the bibliography data into the correct
format for footnotes?
do not tell me to use endnotes or refworks please. I am looking for a word solution that does not require $$$ to a third party software vendor.
