Error code 30015-23 (5)

The first time I installed Microsoft office 365, it all run well, I used PPT and everything went smoothly.

Problem came when the second time I tried to use word, ppt, excel or anything, it can't verify my license, I tried every step, giving it administrator rights, compatibility, nothing worked.

When I tried to repair it, this code 30015-23 (5) came up with the text "There was a problem accessing a file. Make sure that the installer has the adequate rights and try it again" (rough translation).

I have no idea how to do that.

I'm also using a student's license.

This might be an old answer, but since I had the same problem just now I figured I could give you my solution.

In my case, another user had previously used the client machine with his credentials (and older version of Office). Somehow the registry locked permission to the previous user.

To get Office 365 installed (or, first installed with errors, then uninstalled and lastly installed successfully) I had to start regedit with psexec from sysinternal. Then change permissions in the registry tree from the old user to the new one and searched the registry for "ClickAndRun" and removed everything connected to Office.

After that my installationen went successfully through.

    Hi Nichika,

You may try using Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 troubleshoot the issue first. To do that: Download and install Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365 > Start the app> Choose Office setup under Which app are you having problems with>Next>Follow the wizard to troubleshoot the issue.

If that doesn’t help, to clarify the situation, please confirm the following information:

1.Confirm whether you download Office from Office 365 portal at http://portal.office.com/OLS/MySoftware.aspx.

2.To check if you have a valid Office 365 subscription, please share your account information via

    Private Message .

3.Share a screenshot of the error message

4.Share Office version and Window OS version with us. To check the Office version: Open Word>File>Account>Check the version number under Office Updates.

    Thanks,

    Felix
