Hi
I have been setting up a Document Center site to manage all our clients. And I have noticed a strange behaviour with the New Document Library experience.
We have a Folder structure of "Client Code=>Year folder=>Sub-Folders>documents".
The folders and documents have been uploaded from a file share to several document libraries in a Document Center template, and we are using the New Document Library experience. To make the
Document Center work better with SharePoint we have been moving documents from sub-folders in the 'Year Folders' directly into the relevant 'Year Folder' deleting the sub-folder in the 'Year Folders' and adding metadata to the documents to filter them, rather
than using sub-folders.
Issue / abnormal behaviour: after adding the metadata to the documents and moving them to directly under the 'Year Folder' instead of in a sub-folder, we delete the empty sub-folders. Then
refresh the page to reflect the changes. However, if you just refresh the page and continue to navigate in the same top level folder by clicking on other 'Year Folders' you are unable to re-enter the 'Year Folder' that you just changed. When you click on it
nothing happens, you can enter the other 'Year Folders' that have not been change yet, in them everything works as expected. But not the 'Year Folder' you deleted the sub-folders and moved the documents in.
If you exit the document library completely and re-enter it everything works again as expected. And you are able to re-enter the changed 'Year Folder' again as normal.
As this is a little hard to explain I have take a screen capture of the behaviour, but as the video has client names and sensitive data in it I am unwill to upload it to the forum.
