Using OneNote over 3 devices

I have got myself totally confused. For many years I have used MS Office on my PC and am currently using Office 365 Subscription. At the moment all my data is stored on the PC.

I have purchased an Amazon Fire 7 and also have a Samsung Galaxy S lll Mini phone. I have installed the OneNote apps and can write new notes on both of them.

At the same time, I have copied a number of old note books from the PC to OneDrive. Using the OneDrive app, I have installed on both the tablet and phone, I can see the sections of the various Notebooks and the icons shows them as OneNote files. However, they will not open. In the case of the tablet nothing happens and on the phone I get a message ”….no apps installed that can open this file”. Also I do not seem able to access OneDrive directly from the OneNote apps.

Please can you help? Once it is sorted I shall move the active OneNote files to OneDrive.

Apologies, I don't have ON in front of me, and am somewhat new to it, but I believe what you need to do is 'Open' the notebook, either by going to file>open, or right clicking in the notebook list panel.

Sorry to be slow in replying.

Can we concentrate on just the one thing for now.

On my Amazon Fire, if I look at OneDrive I can see all my notebooks. The notebook "General" includes a Section "Information" which I amended this morning on the PC. This has "Today" rather than a date proving that it is synced with the PC. The icon shows it is a OneNote file.

My question is - How do I get these Notebooks to display in the list of notebooks in OneNote?

    Chris

    HI,

Let us open the note book on the PC, click on file----share----and sign into the OneDrive, once its signed in and synced, let us try opening them from the phone and check.

I hope the above suggestion helps. If you need further assistance, get back to us and we will be glad to assist you.

    Thank you.
