I am going to try to describe my file system. There will be a "main folder" This main folder will contain an excel document and another folder. This second folder will contain a series of other folders.

In this excel document tHere are hyperlinks to the series of folders in the sub folder.  What i would like to be able to do is copy the Main folder. and have the hyperlinks of the excel document of this new main folder(2) to instead of pointing to the files in the first main folder now point to the files in the copied main folder (2)

The links will just point to a folder.

Is this possible and how would i go about doing this?

Just do what you said - copy the workbook that contains the hyperlinks from main folder (1) to main folder (2).

DON'T USE FILE > SAVE AS FROM WITHIN EXCEL TO CREATE THE COPY.

Hyperlinks to files in or below the folder containing the workbook which contains the hyperlinks are normally created as relative links and so they will automatically reference the files in  and below main  folder (2) when  you open the copy in that folder.
