my pivot table will not refresh keeps showing old data.  even after i have made a change to data and recreate a pivot table it still shows old data.

plus i have a Microsoft Excel Security Notice says it has identified a potential security concertn.  The operation will create a copy of a connection to an external data source.  i have no idea why there is an external data source.

its like their is a temporary link in this file and i can't seem to find it.

please help.

are you kidding me?  Do you know how many times i tried to refresh?  Its not working.  Its stuck with old data.  No matter what changes i make to the numbers and create pivot tables it still uses old numbers for the first save.

After starting a refresh, you can review the status or cancel it at any time.

    • On the Options tab, in the Data group, click the Refresh button arrow, and then click Refresh Status to view the status or Cancel Refresh to stop refreshing.
